I assisted postdoc's and masters students in a research facility design for an ARPA-E project. The facility is a first of its kind ultra efficient turbo compression cooling system, designed to replace evaporative cooling towers for power plants. My responsibilities included designing major components, creating drawings for manufacturers, and optimization of pipe routing to minimize pressure losses.

At Cummins, I operated an engine test cell and reported to all team members test progression and issues. Responsibilities include owning and managing parts lists, managing planning review meetings with technicians and engineers, and coordinating updates to a global team.

Charleston, South Carolina Area

I assisted a senior engineer in validation tasks for a future product. My responsibilities included managing Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) updates, developing inspection worksheets, creating metrics tools, and performing root cause analysis for identifying failures. Skills learned included professional presenting, Six Sigma, FMEA, root cause analysis, developing failure incident reports, designing inspection plans and reports, and excel VBA.

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area

At AMS, I disassembled and cleaned engine blocks and cylinder heads. My responsibilities included shotpeening heads, magnafluxing engine blocks, machining flywheels, delivering and picking up parts, and hot tanking engine blocks. Skills learned included acetylene welding and cutting, cylinder head assembly, engine break in, and cylinder head resurfacing.

I assisted a business owner restoring classic cars. Responsibilities included fabricating sheet metal, stripping cars down for paint, and general mechanical work. Skills learned included automotive body repair, welding, buffing, painting, and custom fabrication.
