"Exploring Irish students’ attitudes towards nootropic supplements" - published in Taylor and Francis' "Drugs: Education, Prevention and Policy"This paper was written in collaboration with UCD professors (Mary Ivers, Cliodhna O'Connor and Aidan Moran) extending my undergraduate research.This experimental between-subjects study used a contrastive vignette technique to explore Irish students’ attitudes towards nootropic supplements, using caffeine tablets and pharmacological cognitive enhancement as ethical contrastsOur findings raise questions surrounding the effects of novel cognitive enhancing products; financial barriers to legal non-pharmacological cognitive enhancement; and the permissibility of cognitive enhancement advertising.Research was presented at two national conferences in 2019: Psychological Society of Ireland’s Early Graduate & Group Conference and the All Ireland Psychology Student Congress.
