To facilitate learning, I have designed engaging, effective, and interactive lectures, cooperative learning activities, and laboratory curriculum for Anatomy and Physiology. I aim to craft thoughtful and well designed lectures that incorporated multimedia, scientific research, and interactive exercises using PowerPoint and other technological tools aimed at improving student comprehension of the structure and function of the human body.

I taught laboratory courses for the Biology department at Northeastern University. I am passionate about teaching and for each course I focused instruction on the foundations of each discipline. To demonstrate the importance and application of fundamental concepts and spark student curiosity, I would connect laboratory content to current scientific research. I actively engaged students both in groups and individually, while treating each student with respect. Further, I always aimed to communicate my curiosity for the natural world into each course that I have taught. For my graduate research, I managed the planning, scheduling, logistics, and implementation of a large scale ecological field experiment. I have experience working with invertebrate and vertebrate wildlife to address environmental issues using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. In particular, I am proficient using the R Programming language to manipulate and analyze data and produce publication quality graphs, tables, and figures. As a junior high school science teacher, I designed, implemented, and taught an inquiry based curriculum for year long courses in life science, earth science, and physical science to facilitate learning for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. I inspired and actively engaged students in science with inquiry based pedagogy, including having students participate in a Diamondback terrapin conservation and research program. In addition, I mentored, tutored in all subjects, and coached students in basketball at the schools extended day program. I assessed student learning formally and informally using a variety of assessments and grading rubrics. Furthermore, I managed the science laboratory, including budgeting, purchasing, and maintaining all science equipment.
