With my co-founders Bismarck and Belsasar Lepe, we built Ooyala to power personalized TV-like experiences for media companies around the world. I was intimately involved in raising all 6 rounds of funding totaling more than $120M, as well as our acquisition by Telstra valuing the business at more than $400M.As Ooyala's Founding CTO, I was responsible for all aspects of engineering execution, as well as system design of Ooyala's services that today support hundreds of millions of users. In 2013 my role expanded to Chief Product Officer where I led all of Ooyala's Engineering, Product Management, and Solution's organizations. As CPO I built out the leadership team and help grow the company to nearly 500 strong. I was also responsible for the M&A strategy behind Ooyala's acquisitions of both Videoplaza as well as Nativ.
