Perform audits of public and private entities in the public utility and energy sectors.

• Perform audits and quarterly reviews in compliance with US GAAS, PCAOB, and ISA standards for numerous private and public corporations of varying size and industries. Perform or oversee all phases of the audit from planning to management/governance communications. Perform or oversee all risk assessment procedures including evaluation of internal control processes, analytical review of financial information, and consideration of inherent and fraud risk factors. Maintain client relationships throughout the year via frequent meetings and dissemination of relevant accounting industry developments.• Coordinate the filings of SEC-registrants ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.• Significant accounting issues research and memorandum preparation as required for personal client base or as an internal or external consultant for other audit teams. Recent topics have included stock-based compensation (US GAAP and IFRS perspectives), revenue recognition for multiple-deliverable arrangements, debt extinguishments, subsequent events, and implications of sub-service organizations on SAS70 audit procedures and reporting.• Prepare financial statements for clients in conformity with United States GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards.• Present required communications to the governance of private and public entities including financial analysis and internal control/process deficiencies.• Perform consulting engagements for publicly-traded companies involving implementation, documentation, and testing of internal controls in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.• Perform internal control and surprise custody examinations of registered investment advisors in response to recent amdendments to Rule 206(4)-2 under the Investment Advisors Act of 1940.• Perform Type II SAS 70 engagements for assessment of design and operating effectiveness of service provider internal controls.
