• Charged with having re-architected our iOS app that frequently crashed under pressure, had no unittests, and possessed a confusing UX. Crash rate went from an average of 46% to 2% and workflow efficiency reduced capture time by minutes. Technology: Objective-C, built SDK to interface with OSC 1/2 compliant 360 cameras, SceneKit base panorama viewer, Core Data DB (replaced by RealmDB)• Formulated an experimental iOS app in Swift that uses ARKit to allow a user to physically step inside one of our panoramic images through the use of their iPhone or iPad. Technology: Swift 3, ARKit 1.0, SceneKit• Repositioned custom processes to Docker images to enable environments for the development team to work against that were easily reproducible.• Conceptualized a proof of concept computer vision iOS app to detect our logo and provide the bounding box for later use in consumer facing iOS apps/SDKs. Provided mobile development consulting services for various companies ranging from startups to large businesses.• Developed GV Mobile, a feature-rich client for the Google Voice service. Started in 2008 and maintained until 2017, this native iOS app featured VoIP calling, text notifications, and MMS support. VoIP support came via the conversion of a C++ XMPP Linux x86 library to run on ARM devices. To support notifications, a notification server had to be built that combined both an email relay service (incoming), a push notification service (outgoing), as well as an APNS management service. A picture hosting service was built to support MMS.• Developed Spyglass (sold), a security camera iOS app that allows remote viewing of security cameras (MJPEG and MP4 streaming) from an iPhone or iPad. Features included push notifications for alerts, and an Apple Watch app for quicker viewing of cameras.• Developed the Line 2 app for a startup in San Francisco (Toktumi). Line 2 is a native mobile iOS app providing VoIP-based calling and text messaging functionality. Coded in Objective-C with portions of the VoIP library in C++.• Constructed native mobile iOS apps for a number of PMC’s media properties, including Boy Genius Report, Variety, and Deadline.
