• ► Hands on role where I am responsible for carrying out a diverse range of mechanical fitting duties relating to the installation and commissioning of GE frame 6 turbines and 33 MW generators on site in line with all.
• Complete preliminary and final alignments using laser and rim and face alignment methods
• Work to ISO 686 alignment and flange management specifications. Reading plans, schematics.
• OHS&E compliance, safety paperwork, pre-starts, JHAs
• Assisting and supporting management team/leading hands in meeting deadlines

Alcan Gove Operations, Northern Territory

• ► Fast-paced position where I performed planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities in the power station including boilers, turbines, water treatment plants and cooling towers. Other duties included:
• Acted as Step Up Supervisor as required in operations and managed crews of fitters
• Played a pivotal role in the management of shutdown activities on site. Supervised and monitored contractors and followed up on any works as needed. Mentoring Indigenous Trainees.
• Reviewed plant and operations with a view to increasing availability and decreasing downtime.

► Worked for various contracting companies and delivered planned and reactive maintenance on crushers, screens, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers. Ensured all work completed in line with daily schedules and all OHS&E requirements and policies across fixed plant material handling operations.
