I am a seasoned investment leader with 15 years of experience in Big Four accountancy and billion-dollar fund management, consistently driving performance as a Managing Director overseeing a global multi-asset portfolio. My technical acumen is bolstered by CFA and CAIA qualifications, and a solid foundation in balance sheet analysis from my training as a CPA/CA with KPMG.As Managing Director of Investments for a CAD $2 billion endowment, I have been instrumental in its growth from CAD $1.1 billion, while managing payouts of CAD $750 million. I adopt a structured and disciplined approach to investment, excelling in identifying and developing long-term opportunities across equities, fixed income, and alternative assets. I have implemented a strategic asset mix with significant exposure to alternative investments, committing nearly CAD $1.75 billion to externally managed funds. As Chair of the Asset and Return Survey, I have reformed the performance reporting framework, enhancing the transparency of how pension plans disclose portfolio mix and performance. I also contribute to the Member Services Committee and Alternatives Working Group. My efforts were recognized with the Terry Staples Volunteer of the Year Award in 2021.Additionally, I serve on the Board of CFA Societies Canada, representing the interests of all Canadian investors.
