I'm a fourth year mechanical engineering student at York University. My favourite hobbies at the moment include modelling in SolidWorks/Fusion 360, 3D printing and printer modding at an enthusiast level, and home-brewing beers, meads, and wines! Before York I worked as a full-time cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment for three years. I'm excited to apply the skills I've learning from my hobbies, school, and my former work to my engineering career. In August 2024, I finished a one-year co-op internship at Suncor Energy in Oakville where I got to practice Management of Change, lead a couple of small process-safety and documentation initiatives, and work on-site at three different petroleum product distribution centres. Additionally, I helped engineers and document controllers with their work when asked, and became a good source of information on multiple subjects during my 12 months.I love getting hands-on with work, and my favourite education experience so far has been learning to operate manual lathes, drill presses, and ark welders in my 3 years of manufacturing technology courses in high school and my mini design course in university. My second favourite experience was learning how to bring my code to life using Python and C++ through 3 years of ICS classes in high school, and similarly using MATLAB, Arduino, NI LabView, and Quanser technologies throughout my first and second years of university.
