Mr. Mahon is the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is also the executive in charge of the Federal Reserve's National Incident Response Team as well as the U.S. representative to the Bank of International Settlement's Working Party on Security Issues. Under his leadership the Bank’s Information Security Function has achieved certification under ISO 9000, ISO 27000 and the National Security Agency’s Information Assurance Capability Maturity Model. Before joining the Fed in May 2001, Mr. Mahon was the head of Information Security for Credit Lyonnais Americas. He has provided security engineering consulting services to a variety of commercial firms and government agencies, including the Department of Defense. He served for twelve years in the US Army, primarily as an Infantry Officer, but also as a logistician and as a Computer Science Officer, in a variety of locations including overseas tours in Germany and Korea. He has BS in Finance from Fordham University and an MS in Computer Science from University of Maryland.
