Sean Burke has currently taken on a new role as a director of business development at Henderson Machinery. This gives Henderson Machinery the ability to assist current and potential customers eliminate waste and reduce cost in inventory, unnecessary motion, WIP, over-processing, over production, and defects. Sean left a full time position with Carolina Apparel Group as pattern making/production development manager, working closely with fabric handling, spreading, cutting and garment construction of thermal underwear, base layer clothing and protective wear. Before that he was the pattern maker and product development supervisor at Mitts Nitts, a knitwear factory located in Durham, North Carolina. In the past Sean has spent many hours fixing and modifying industrial sewing machines, a skill that is highly beneficial but has ruined countless dress shirts and sport coats. Previously enrolled at North Carolina State University's College of Textiles where Sean graduated with a bachelors of science in Fashion Textile Management with a concentration in product development. Sean has also taught under the guidance of a select group of professors at the College of Textiles for the entry level apparel class Fashion Textile Management 219.
