(click 'see more' for the rest)ProfessionallyI've been committed to business technology since day one in the workforce, mostly in sales and operations, but I also spent a few years in programming and data analysis. I often refer to myself as 30% nerd, 70% business, which has played well for me when addressing business problems and solving them with technology. Truthfully, this is something that sets me apart from many of my sales counterparts because I have the ability to understand the complexity of technology solutions and explain the solutions in terms that make sense to a business-minded buyer. I have an overactive sense of empathy, so it's personally important to me that when my team scopes and delivers solutions, we actually solve the client's problems the way they wanted them solved. I'm diligent to listen, asking questions, and only designing solutions when I'm sure the team and I can deliver.Humble beginningsMy upbringing was humble and rural. I was raised as an up-by-sunrise and back-at-sundown kind of kid. My friends and I cheated death on many occasions and learned a lot of lessons about it. For example, you can't outrun wasps if you swat a nest with your hand (this is a fact). Our house didn't have a lot of extras, but it was loaded with a loving family (which I'll take over stuff 10/10 times). Academically, Yale and Harvard didn't have much interest in me and although I was active in wrestling and football, the D1 scholarships didn't roll in either. I had to figure out a way to fund college.Off to the NavyI enlisted in the Navy (hooyah) and went to BootCamp 6 weeks after my 18th birthday and had an incredible experience. I completed 2 deployments, earned a reasonable number of ribbons and metals, and managed to stitch together a strong work ethic and devotion to duty. Not to mention a band of brothers that I will respect and love until I take my last breath.College EducationI'm a graduate of Oklahoma State University (Finance) and Oklahoma City University (MBA), with probably the same experiences as anyone else who has taken a similar route.Family ManMy wife and I have been married for more than 25 years and we have raised 2 children that we are tremendously proud and supportive of. Family is the motivation for just about everything we do, and I don't think I'd like it any other way.
