A JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES, MASTER OF MOST, Beyer has worn many hats throughout his career: filmmaker, producer, writer, editor, graphic artist, and even actor & musician. His unique blend of talents is an integral part to any production. Shot on location in Rhode Island, Beyer co-wrote and directed the award-winning Randy’s Canvas, a touching romantic drama about an aspiring artist with autism who falls in love for the first time. Starring Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween, The Runaways), Kevin G. Schmidt (Cheaper by the Dozen, Butterfly Effect) and veteran character actor Richard Riehle (Office Space, Casino), Randy’s Canvas was honored with Best Director at the 2018 Glendale International Film festival and Best Actor & Best Picture awards at the 2018 AutFest International Film Festival; currently in Premium VOD / Digital release from Vision Films, with broadcast TV scheduled late 2019. In the summer of 2017, he made his way to South Carolina to direct and co-write the dance-centric Another Tango starring Brant Daugherty (Fifty Shades Freed, Days of Our Lives) for Hallmark and MarVista entertainment, currently in release. 2005 marked his feature film writing & directorial debut, with the intense drama, Down the P.C.H. starring Lin Shaye (Insidious, There’s Something About Mary, Detroit Rock City), Guillermo Diaz (Scandal, Weeds, Half Baked) and Elaine Hendrix (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, The Parent Trap, Joan of Arcadia) who won Best Actress at the 2007 Baja California International Film Festival and picked up worldwide distribution, all while being made for a mere $40,000! FilmmakerEye Scream Films Sep 2000 - PresentFormed in the fall of 2000, the name EYE SCREAM FILMS was to be a production company producing horror films. Ironically enough, ESF has yet to produce a horror film, but has done so much more.ESF's first official production was the music video PAIN for the Los Angeles-based band FOUR STAR MARY.After shooting until the wee hours of the morning, production wrapped at about 5am on 9/11/2001 - yes THAT 9/11. With the world turned upside down, we had a deadline for MTV in the UK and had to deliver. Amazingly, from the time director SEAN MICHAEL BEYER met with FSM to discuss the concept for the video to the time we delivered the master tape to MTV, was just over three weeks - and with a terrorist attack smack dab in the middle.Summer of 2005 brought the production of our first feature film, DOWN THE P.C.H. PCH which was written & directed by SEAN MICHAEL BEYER and our first-time collaboration with veteran casting director turned producer VALERIE McCAFFREY. Beyer's sophomore feature brought him together with Oscar-nominated actress Sally Kirkland and Kevin G. Schmidt (Cheaper by the Dozen, Young and the Restless) for RESURRECTION MARY, based upon the famous Chicago urban legend of the same name. Since then ESF has produced a variety of projects, including the hit web comedy, POOR PAUL, starring Kevin Schmidt and Zack Bennett in the title role.Presently ESF has numerous projects in development and looks forward to a bright future.
