About Sean Nolan

I currently work as a managing director in EY's Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice in the New York office. Our practice helps companies understand and address the financial reporting impacts of change. I specifically sit within our Technical Accounting Advisory Group (TAAG) and assist with revenue recognition and ESG reporting.Prior to joining EY, I worked for a year at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). During my time at the FASB, I worked on several projects including ones related to creating a disclosure framework, addressing financial reporting concerns of nonpublic entities, and updating the reporting for nor-for-profit (NFP) entities. I also assisted the efforts of the Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) and the Financial Accounting Foundation's (FAF) Post Implementation Review (PIR) process.I received a Master of Accountancy, Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Classical Culture, and a Music Business Certificate from the University of Georgia. I am a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
