I was given the opportunity to assume the role of Construction Estimator in September of 2016. Since then I have learned how to provide high-level budgets and hard pricing for a wide variety of construction projects. Above and beyond the responsibilities of a standard Estimator, I have experience in meeting with clients and approaching their ideas with a design-build mentality. Prior to job cost analysis, I would create site/floor plans via AutoCAD or 3D renderings for conceptual purposes, in order to sell the job, hopefully bringing it to the pricing stage. My favorite thing about this position is maintaining relationships with sub-trades, clients and vendors; meeting people has always been high on my list of needs for career fulfillment.

The project coordinator position at the Calgary branch was designed for a specific purpose; to alleviate administrative pressures on the business development team. My duties include: Pre-contract client meetings, quoting, scheduling, reviewing and employing marketing strategies, and many other construction management tasks.I pride myself in cultivating a positive working space - I believe life is too short to not enjoy it! Getting along with people and being receptive to colleagues and clients is my pathway to growing in to an effective member of the Seko team.

As a Restoration Worker for I would acquire daily work orders and provide the most time efficient renovation work possible. Work scope included materials pricing and purchasing, modifications to initial quote and construction plan, and client contact. Projects were seen through from start to finish and therefore my work responsibilities ranged from rough carpentry all the way to finishing (paint & trim).

Demolition, drywall/plastering, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work were the primary skills necessary for most contracts. Foundation repair, tile work, roof flashing installation, and walkway masonry contracts were also completed to exact client specifications.

Maintained and kept student accounts regarding lab grades and borrowed lab materials/instruments.
