In case it’s not obvious, I am an entrepreneur. Part of that definition should say “exceptionally talented at starting things that others need to help finish.” The reality of too many ideas and too little time. Since this is a professional profile, I won’t be shy about describing myself. Afterall, that’s why you clicked by. I’m a crazy strategic thinker. No matter where I am, what I’m doing, who I’m talking to… I’m analyzing, thinking, evaluating, and then rethinking. I’ve been lucky to have a great balance of creative, technical and business thinking. Mom was in the finance world as a principal of a brokerage firm so I got to read about markets at age 10. Dad was in IT at an insurance conglomerate for 35+ years. (Seriously, the same job from high school to retirement!). The creative part, I think, was born out of my competitiveness. Seriously, if necessity is the mother of invention, my ‘necessity’ to win made me creative in approach and execution.I’m exceptionally good at finding a great coffee place, and you can find me clicking, scrolling, sipping and chatting somewhere in the West Village most days. Well, anywhere for that matter. I love to take on a challenge which is why I enjoy connecting and networking – anywhere, everywhere, with anyone at anytime because in every conversation I can find a challenge. Plus, you learn something from everyone.I can’t make this all about business. Don’t expect me to chat about long walks on the beach, but I will tell you one thing I do like - golf. The intensity of competing against the most challenging opponent – yourself, both physically and mentally is a total rush. That’s a bit arrogant sounding, hmmm, oh well. Started in 1998, we were the only digital company in the state. Now we operate with two locations (NH & NY), service a wide variety of client industries and sizes. Diversity of client industries has been an exceptional strength of ours, and is an asset beyond belief with the vastly undefined future of marketing in all industries. I’m working in NYC now, but still love my NH roots of course. I’m back there often, but will admit I see some colleagues more often as a talking Skype head than live. The marketing methods for these schools were only barely scratching the surface of technology, and they were extremely slow to adopt new marketing vehicles. My responsibilities for this mobile app and marketing platform included seed funding, strategic direction as an early-stage startup, and consultation with universities. The platform transforms students, parents, and alumni into a marketing ecosystem driving admissions and student recruitment efforts. The platform allows schools to easily launch a mobile app, choose from a wide selection of potential app features from dining menus to safety alerts, build a digital-first visit experience for prospective students/parents and further engagement with parents, current students and alumni through the mobile app. QuadLyfe revolutionized how admission departments operate.The successful start-up was acquired by Student Bridge based in Atlanta, GA. Student Bridge was focused on high-end on-site production of video and audio experiences. Quadlyfe was a great fit to supplement their sales funnel through Quadlyfe's freemium to premium offerings.
