Manage all transportation requirements for 19 facilities that include 7 forward DC,6 manufacturing,5 co-packers, and 1 raw material facility. Manage 6 direct reports and have weekly meetings to ensure all are on schedule to reach annual objectives cascaded from ELT. Meet daily with Director of Transportation to discuss operational issues within the network. Coordinate with Warehousing, Manufacturing, Planning, Sales, Customer service, and Finance to ensure that the Transportation department can meet current and future BU goals. Key Achievements:Set up daily tracking of Sam's Club, Wal-Mart and Costco shipments to ensure Pinnacle is above expected customer service levels.Started routing guide compliance form that direct reports can offer suggestions to get RG compliance above annual objective of 70%. (2011 tracking at 75%)2011 Intermodal percentage above 95% for all replenishment orders.(2011 goal 90%)Responsible for PFG plan for meeting Wal-Mart MABD compliance of 90% to prevent penalties. (PFG has not had 1 penalty since the program started)

Oversee new inbound logistics department, to include coordinating 10 facilities' receiving departments. Develop and implement new standard operating procedures and policies. Establish and negotiate contracts and secure new carriers. Forecast and monitor department budget, including tracking all aspects of revenue and expenses. Coordinate and track freight movement and rate quotes between customer, carrier, and consignee. Manage RFP information. Maintain DOT qualification / safety performance files for drivers.

Started with NYK in operations and was quickly promoted to inside sales after 6 months. I added a new customer a week to the portfolio the first year. Quickly became the modal of new inside sales and operations combination. Trained at every facility in NYK operations to be able to sell Warehousing, Transload, reverse Logistics, IMD and International freight. Key Achievements:$300,000 in new margins the first year.Integrated my customer base to include at least 2 NYK services per customer. (EX. Warehouse and IMD)
