Currently fulfilling the role of an Advanced Practitioner for Progress Schools after continued professional development and career progression taking my journey from Volunteer Tutor to Qualified Teacher, Head of School and beyond.With over 10 years experience in the alternative education sector and a number of valuable, transferable skills from other industries I am a self-motivated and determined individual. I possess a creative mind and an excellent problem solving skillset. I am exceptionally well organised, dependable, dedicated and able to be to meet and exceed deadlines.Key responsibilities for current role include:- Conducting observations and learning walks on behalf of the Education team, and/or in conjunction with Heads of School to improve teaching standards- Coaching / mentoring to staff requiring support - Delivering staff development workshops and tailored curriculum activities to embed and enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning. - Reviewing CPD activity, including engagement, to identify ongoing CPD needs in relation to teaching and learning- Upholding the procedures and processes for continuing professional development and mandatory training- Working with colleagues to provide leadership and guidance on developing schemes of work and curriculum resources to meet the needs of individual cohorts- Conducting school visits to monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the curriculum- Working with Heads of School and teachers to ensure effective planning and preparation of all learning activities, promoting a cycle of reflective practice to improve standards- Conducting independent research and reading into effective teaching strategies- Supporting Heads of Schools to execute their duty and ensure colleagues are competent in skills and knowledge required to provide high quality education
