April 2000 – Sept 2000: Promoted to Grade 7 Senior Software Engineer • Extra tasks included test co-ordination and process improvement implementation. • Validation of Legal Intercept mobile tracing feature on the 3G network, incorporating requirement review, test case creation, test case review, test case documentation, test case execution, problem reporting and problem solution verification .Dec 1998 – April 2000: Promoted to Grade 6 Software Engineer • Developed and implemented software reliability engineering process within test group and at customer sites. This task included the development of a software based fault tracking tool to measure failure intensity rates and a software analyser to provide an operational profile of how customers are using our product to allow the test process to reflect customer usage more realistically. This task involved deployment at a customer site in Europe.July 1998 - Dec 1998: Grade 5 Software Engineer • Validation and testing of an operations and maintenance centre software system for 3G telecoms network incorporating requirement review, test case creation, test case review, test case documentation, test case execution, requirement validation, problem reporting and problem solution verification. • Validation and testing covered multiple areas of the system such as, configuration management, fault management, load management, graphical user interface and peripheral tools such as region editor and user profile editor.

• Developed and implemented a quality assurance policy within the PC group. This included creating test cases, testing, measurement of quality and advising management on quality issues. • Highlighted ITS quality assurance and validation procedures within the company and to companies within the ShannonSoft Association through case study presentation to academics and industry at a conference in U.L.
