Hi, I'm Sean. I'm a Product Designer with 1 year of formal work experience and 1-2 years of freelancing as a stay-at-home parent. I've worked freelance most of my time, helping friends, family, and small businesses with their websites or platforms. I worked for Hornblower Group on their City Experiences website for both mobile and desktop. I redesigned their homepage, product listing, product page, checkout flow, and account/rewards page. What am I capable of?I'm a generalist at heart. My strong points are asking questions and finding solutions to problems. Can you do visual UI?Yes, I can. I know how to navigate Figma. Visual skills are essential, and I always want to improve. What about UX research?I have a background in research and enjoy analyzing data to help understand users' thinking. I am familiar with both qualitative and quantitative data. Depending on the sprint, sometimes we only have time to do some of the research, so I utilize the proper process when needed. Can you talk to engineers?Yes, I have taken courses in coding. I went through a BootCamp for coding to understand front-end and back-end coding better. I need to improve, but I know HTML, CSS, Python, and Javascript. So, when I talk to engineers about my design, I understand their limitations. What do you think about the business?I took courses in Product Management to understand the company's needs better. So, when it comes to talking about KPIs, ROIs, and the long-term value of a customer, I understand. I spent time looking at Tableau and GA4 data to help with design decisions that could solve both user problems and increase the company's profits. What am I looking for?I'd love to find a company that wants someone to grow with them and set down roots at a company where I could make changes and improve. I'm empathetic and like to get their hands dirty to create incredible designs. I'll invest in you if you are willing to invest in me.
