Sean Posey is a historian, photographer, writer and educator. He has written two books. In 2016, the History Press released Sean's first book, "Lost Youngstown." His second book, "Historic Theaters of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley," debuted in August 2017. His work has been featured in a variety of publications, including The New Republic, Citylab, Salon, and Moyers & Company, where he worked on campaign coverage for the 2016 presidential election. Currently, Sean is a freelance writer and speaker. Sean received numerous academic distinctions as a graduate student. He has guest lectured on a variety of topics, from urban history to racial inequality, in venues from Ohio to Florida. Sean has also presented academic papers on the history of public housing at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sean worked in community development at the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation, where he dealt with vacancy issues and urban agriculture in the inner city of Youngstown, Ohio. He has taught history, English, and government at Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown and at John F. Kennedy High School in Warren. Sean has also taught history and government at Easter Gateway Community College in Youngstown.
