I have a working life's experience of the art of managing people and customers across logistics, media advertising and currently construction. Creating a clear, but adaptable, vision. Then engaging your people, to enable your chosen customers to buy into your offer is what every successful business is about. This has been influenced by the many people I have worked with, many good and some just plain awful, as well as my continued personal development at centres such as Ashridge, Cranfield, Nottingham University, numerous other centres and home where it all gets grounded in the reality of why people go to work.My current role sees me dealing with local and central government, private home owners and large social landlords, skilled trades people and novice apprentices, software developers and waste recycling companies, large print media companies and local digital marketing specialists. The variety is stimulating but my values around honest communication remain integral and increasingly appreciated.I don't want to work with people who leave their sense of humour or sincerity at home, we spend too much time at work to not smile as often as we can and who has time to tip toe around people that play games. Leave your egos at the door and concentrate in doing the best job we all can. Networking with like minded people is important and invaluable to me and my business. I can offer experience in many areas of people strategy as well as specific skills and insight in energy saving scheme building for housing organisations.As well as working too many hours, I coach Rugby (pretty successfully), Ski (averagely) and play drums (poorly). When work is boring I can talk about all of these but will listen to others views as long as they aren't Aussies on Rugby.
