ONE Solutions has licensed roof, fire, and water damage restoration companies serving residential, commercial, and industrial properties in markets throughout the United States.

Intellectual Property – Function as the Head of Intellectual Property, managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and more than 350 issued patents. Work closely with the company’s engineers and innovation team to ensure compliance with applicable laws and preserve intellectual property rights. Manage inbound and outbound licenses for the company. Privacy – Function as the Head of Privacy overseeing compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws.Contracts – Implement standard vendor agreements, draft software-licensing agreements, customer contracts among many other agreements needed by the business. Provide counseling and advice to business management and sales personnel on the various contract terms.Government Relations –Work to favorably resolve issues or investigations before municipal bodies, regulatory state licensing boards, and federal regulatory bodies. In September 2012, The Blackstone Group private equity firm purchased Vivint, Inc. for $2.1 Billion. In addition to other areas of compliance, I was heavily involved as legal support for this transaction.In January 2020, Vivint Smart Home, Inc. completed a transaction with Mosaic Acquisition Corp., resulting in Vivint becoming a publicly traded company (NYSE: VVNT). The transaction is one of the largest United States SPAC mergers ever with an enterprise value of $4.2 billion, including additional equity of $488 million. I was heavily involved as legal support for this SPAC transaction.

I worked as an extern with Justice Ronald E. Nehring of the Utah Supreme Court. Drafted bench memorandums and one draft opinion for the Utah Supreme Court.
