Each semester, President Mueller and some of the Engineering faculty meet with an advisory board to discuss the goals, progress and direction of the engineering program and other STEM programs and initiatives. The advisory board consists of individuals who are generally in management for companies such as Honeywell, Intel, etc. They provide insight into what is trending in the industry and offer advice to GCU faculty about currently world topics.

We are the health information exchange (HIE) that helps partners transform care by bringing together communities and information across Arizona in an era of changing expectations. We integrate information with the delivery of care to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

The Health Current Data Governance Council is charged with developing and supporting data governance processes that address the cross-enterprise needs of all HIE Participants for data quality including use of industry standards and accepted normalized values, related to data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency and accessibility.

The California Association of Health Information Exchanges (CAHIE) was formed in 2013 as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. It was initially founded under the direction of the California Health and Human Services Agency, California Office of Health Information Integrity, with seed funding from the State Cooperative Agreement Grant under ARRA. Since its inception, CAHIE has solidified its role as the voice of HIOs in California. We have successfully developed the California DURSA, a multi-party data sharing agreement allowing all parties who have signed it to interoperate using recognized standards, and launched the California Trusted Exchange Network (CTEN). We were the first organization to develop a federated provider directory based on the IHE profile for Healthcare Provider Directory (HPD). And we are a trusted adviser to government agencies working to expand information exchange and create a more connected healthcare delivery system to improve the health and well-being of all Californians.

The Patient Unified Lookup System for Emergencies (PULSE) is a nationwide health IT disaster response platform that can be deployed at the city, county, or state level to authenticate disaster healthcare volunteer providers. PULSE allows disaster workers to query and view patient documents from all connected healthcare organizations.

The overarching role of the Coordinating Committee is to provide the needed governance, oversight, management and support of the trust fabric for the Exchange participants. The roles and responsibilities of the Coordinating Committee set forth in the Data Use and Reciprocal Services Agreement (DURSA).
