I also had to maintain a wait list, which at times exceeded a 45 minute wait. After that I learned how to take togo orders and was in charge of the Bank. togo orders required I learned a bit about the menu and get comfortable talking to customers over the phone. It also introduced me to tips.I then moved onto waiting tables. I had to give drinks, take food orders, ID for alcohol, and brown nose until they gave me money. I was able to upsell just about anyone on bacon cheese fries, and I always tried to give the best customer service I could possibly give.I believe I still hold the tip record there.After waiting, I started to memorize the menu. When you cook, you don't get a tiny menu to cheat with you have to know what goes on the burgers by their number. 1-50.
