I was the first or second level supervisor for over 43 Physicians and Physician Assistants, 41 Paramedics, and 27 ER Medics. While working clinical shifts, I directly supervised a combined staff of 28 providers, nurses and support personnel. Our ED provided over 72,000 patient visits annually, and I managed a budget of almost $9 million. I served on 5 critical hospital committees, and was the only physician trained in Lean Six Sigma techniques in hospital. I was the project leader in transitioning our entire healthcare operation to utilize Microsoft SharePoint technologies, and successfully expanded our Graduate Medical Education programs to include Emergency Medicine, OB-GYN, and Family Practice residency rotations. I helped open a $2 Million, 7-bed expansion of our critical care capability in December 2009.
