I take a lot of pride in my work. Whether it's working with my hands, creating content on the computer or building relationships with people, I always want to make my next task more successful than the last. It's the drive for perfection keeps me motivated to learn and grow with every new role I take on. For the last 8 years I have been a teacher and a coach at Conestoga Public Schools. In that time, I've had the opportunity to be a part of many great moments through both teaching and coaching. I led both the cross country and journalism teams to top-10 finishes at state in our first year of competition, and coached multiple state medalists in cross country, wrestling, track and field and journalism. I will always be proud of the accomplishments of the students and athletes that I have been fortunate enough to work with, and value the lessons learned through the trust and teamwork required to find success. My various teaching roles have afforded me to continue learning every year as I adapt to new curriculum requirements, work to master new technological advancements and pick up strategies to connect with students and athletes. Most recently, I spent the past three years as a digital media and journalism teacher. This role made it possible for me to unlock many new skills and discover a passion for creating all kinds of multimedia productions. Through my work I have developed strong leadership and communication skills, enhanced my writing and public speaking skills and become adept at using many industry-standard software programs, including Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite. I know that making a career change can be hard, but I am confident in my ability to adapt to any new position and find my fit. I look forward to making connections and moving forward in my career.
