My desire to learn and develop my professional skill set has allowed me to gain knowledge in mechanical systems through my training as a Coast Guard Machinery Technician, experience as a team leader who managed a staff of twenty student workers while at college, and - most applicably - technical experience to both process and mechanical engineering operations as a mechanical engineer and now Mechanical Design Supervisor for Lake Superior Consulting (LSC), a consulting firm serving clients in the Oil and Natural Gas industry. In my 5 ongoing years of experience at LSC, I have developed a detailed awareness of mechanical design project work, with a specialization in developing and using our CAD tools to an advanced level. Additionally, I have helped develop, and have an elevated knowledge of, reality capture processes using the Leica suite of 3D laser scanners. In this skillset, I have personally scanned and processed integrated models for large congested facilities such as tank farms and compressor stations. In my current role at LSC, I supervise a team of mechanical designers, coordinating with them and our design engineers and project managers to execute work for several client projects and initiatives concurrently. In this position, I also am responsible for and pride myself in assisting my designers in personal and skill development to better themselves and offer a better product to our clients.
