Resident Engineer
CurrentResident Engineer on the Blanchardstown Regional Drainage Scheme (BRDS) 9C Sewer Duplication and Storage Contract that provides for the construction of a combined sewer via trenchless techniques (1km of 1.5m & 2km of 1.8m dia. pipes), including 9 No. launch/reception shafts and 3 No. cross-connections to an adjacent existing sewer; and construction of a pumping station with underground storage tanks with a combined storage capacity of 30,000m3 at a value of €58m. The works predominately take place in the TOlka Valley Park which poses challenges for micro-tunnelling due to low cover. Responsible for overseeing the construction phase ensuring the employer’s requirements were adhered to, reviewing pertinent contractor documents, assessment of Contractor claims and payment application, assessment of Contractor performance against Contractual KPI's, reporting to senior resident engineers and supervision of the installation of launch/reception shafts, micro tunnelling and conversion of shafts to manholes.
