Participated in planning conferences and scheduled installations and repair to machinery for vessels in accordance with regulations. Conferred with shops in deciding sequence of tasks. Reviewed designs, specifications and job orders for installations and repairs to ensure conformance with directives.Qualified in Submarines (Officer), Officer of the Deck, Engineering Officer of the Watch, Ship's Duty Officer and Engineering Duty Officer.• Within four months of arriving, developed and implemented an effective plan to improve completion percentage of critical maintenance requirements from 71% to 99% by the end of 2013 resulting in the submarine missing ZERO operational days throughout a six-month operational deployment.
