Team: Persistence and Framework (Backend)• Wrote a GoLang service to automatically scale the number of nodes our cloud database uses according to metrics such as CPU utilization, in order to reduce Uber's business costs.• Rewrote a database transaction from analysis application TypeScript to Golang to deploy on the cloud. The application would analyze logs to infer which database transactions were conflicting in order to highlight commonly problematic endpoints in our system.• Created dashboards and documents for the above services to provide easy insight into the internal state of our applications and gather helpful information.

Team: Instant Ink (Backend)• Created user interface and related API to manage Node Resque jobs for processing printer information in the HP database.• Integrated into paired programming to develop scheduling for the notifications system in the HP mobile smart app.• Created containers for core applications using Docker and Docker Compose while keeping support for completely local development.
