-Liaison with local communities, local government and contractors through identification of key stakeholders of the operation and engaging with them through their relevant structures and forums.-Compilation of the required social and Labour Plan reports-Monitoring of Social and labour plan commitments-Monitoring of preferential procurement policies, -Implementation and development of all CSI and Local Economic Development (LED) programs and activities -Ensuring 100%compliance with all regulatory regimes (Social and Labour Plans, Integrated Development Plans, Mining Charter and Health Safety Environment and Community (HSEC) .

•Responsible for and undertaking strategic planning in order to ensure that the division is prepared and positioned to meet the demands of potential investors, support SMME’s in alignment with government programs(BBBEE etc).•Development of new proposals and suggestions to assist in stimulating the growth of the economy of Madibeng •Promote and encourage partnership between large companies on the one hand and small, medium and micro enterprises on the other.•Developing, implementing and evaluation of Local Economic Development strategies by working in partnership with business, labour, community based and non-governmental organisations. •Promotion and establishment, retention and expansion of National and Internationally competitive industries and service sector organisations.• Assist in the development of new-business opportunities • Responsible for the drafting of reports on LED• Assist in the preparation of the Departmental Business Plan• Actively promote Madibeng as an investment destination• Responsible for economic materials for population of the website.

Provisioning of relevant support services which included business and economic intelligence, facilitating human and SMME development programs and advisory support to SM enterprises, evidenced by:•Relevant and current venture specific, general economic and new opportunity information and market research being generated and distributed regularly•Well maintained and reliable database for customers, financiers, ventures, business enterprises and service providers •Up to date activity and progress reports and venture/project status information•Effective end-to-end logging and referral and processing of all GBIG enquiries•Developing, planning and execution of the Trade and Investment Development Programme (TIDP) and other development programs•Assist with preparation of tenders, proposals, accreditation reviews/audits, business plans, mobilization of funding, advocacy for academic development, other external reports and third party programs
