In this role, I have developed many soft skills that will aid in future career-orientated positions. I supported both the metallurgical and process team of engineers at Caterpillar's Mapleton foundry where engine blocks are poured. In this role, I was able to implement new instrumentation, train operators, and further develop techniques to analyze slag. As well as learning and implementing many soft skills such as leadership, emotional intelligence (EQ), coaching, and teamwork communication.

I have been working with new polymer chains in hopes of finding new effective and efficient methods to combat microbial resistance. Multiple antimicrobial synthesis reactions are being performed in order to find which of the polymer chains are combatting the resistant bacteria.

During my summer internship with Veolia-HPD, I was able to gain a great insight into instrumentation engineering, process engineering, and even some research and development. Through exposure to many different software platforms such as Bluebeam, IFS Document Review, and SmartPlant Instrumentation as well as many of the standard client-issued documents such as P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams, Instrument Connection Lists, and many more I found myself engaged working within the team of engineers on many aspects of a few different projects. I also found myself able to help create standard templates for their use to streamline the process that will hopefully be used for years to come. I also got a great insight into the standards Veolia holds its engineers to as I was trained and certified for their ISO requirements.

I worked as the packaging specialist for the second highest-grossing UPS store in the world. I oversaw all outgoing and incoming packages. I packaged thousands of insured outgoing shipments, including packaging multiple items of high value, roughly $35,000. During my time interacting with customers, my average point of sale was $65.83, which was slightly higher than that of the average employee.

I worked as a seasonal Camp counselor for the City of Evanston Parks & Recreation Arts camp. During my time I looked after the well-being and enjoyment of the children in the camp. The ages I worked with for my three years of employment ranged from 4-9. Other than working in the summers, I was one of two counselors in the entire art camp program who was asked to come work again during the spring break arts camp the city held (Mar. 2018).
