About Sebastian Kirsch

I'm a backend engineer through & through. My last stint into the frontend world was years ago, and I'm not missing it. I never stopped developing backend applications (usually offering RESTful APIs) from the ground up, including persistence layer, software design, documentation etc. In the later years, I've been focusing on automation, build & operations, chiefly running on AWS.Java & Maven is what I've grown up with, familiarizing myself with Kotlin recently. I've also dipped into other programming languages - never enjoyed that though (not listing them here cause folks seem to use that in their search queries). [Java|ECMA]Script is a necessary evil imho, and with TS we're getting somewhere ;)I see myself as highly efficient and self-responsible IC.Even though I'm usually working "in the deep trenches", I want to work for a company that tackles the problems of our society; e.g. climate change, sustainability & social inequality - B Corps wanted!
