- Subjects: Alternative electrodes and flexible substrates for and degradation mechanisms and ionic effects in light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs)- Key achievements: Successful implementation of LECs on carbon nano-tubes and flexible, conductive fabrics as well as novel insight in the device physics of LECs

- Subject: Organic light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) for lighting applications (EU project “CELLO”, FP7-ICT-248043)- Key achievements: Successful development of a basic physical understand-ing of LECs and significant enhancement of their lifetime (> 6000 h; in-crease by 12,000 %)- Honour: “Organic Photonics + Electronics 2012 Best Student Paper Award” (1st Place) of the International Society for Optical Engineering
