My name is Sebastian Pandal, I am currently a senior at Virginia Tech, pursuing a major in Environmental Policy and a minor in International Public Policy. My academic career has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the legislative process, environmental governance, and international affairs, gained through courses that focus on foundational concepts, theories, and methods. I have also gained valuable professional experience as a Federal Legislative Intern with the Government Affairs team at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), where I worked on both domestic and international wildlife conservation projects. I supported the advancement of WCS's policy initiatives by conducting research, analysis, and outreach on topics such as biodiversity, climate change, and wildlife trafficking. I am passionate about contributing to the protection and restoration of the natural environment and the promotion of global cooperation and justice. My goal is to pursue a career in environmental policy that allows me to apply my skills and knowledge to address the pressing issues of our time.
