I provided internal communications support to a range of university initiatives, engaging with staff and student audiences. My portfolios included ICT, library, facilities, digital media, engineering, student support and student success, amongst others. Channels regularly used included social media, email, web, digital signage, print, and video. I also occasionally MCed events and interviewed students for video segments.

I edited the University of Canterbury's weekly 32-page student magazine, Canta. Working to strict and frequent deadlines, I provided editorial direction; managed a large team of volunteer contributors; edited copy; advised on design; and wrote a large number of features, columns, reviews, editorials, news items, and advertorial. In addition, I supported our related communications, events, and support service teams. I also reviewed cake from time to time.

I designed and maintained the Association's websites and organised its web presence, including administering social media outlets. I also worked at student events and provided general support to the communications and support service teams.
