I worked on several issues: environmental impact assessment; protected areas and wildlife conservation; regulation on water quality standards and emission standards for rivers, lakes, and oceans; implementation of the urban wetlands law; a draft redaction of the climate change framework law; and several public engagement mechanisms and indigenous consultation procedures for environmental regulations.

I advised and conducted many environmental impact assessment procedures for mining projects, energy projects, aquaculture projects, among other industrial activities. In this regard I also supported many public engagement procedures. In addition, I have experience in environmental oversight and sanction procedures, along with litigation before environmental and high courts in Chile. This includes cases related to environmental damage, environmental impact assessment, and administrative law. I was also in charge of the mining law area (mining concessions, land occupation and other legal strategies), and water permits (water rights and hydraulic works permits). During this period, I authored comprehensive corporate reports for numerous clients, primarily in English.

Associate attorney on two teams: natural resources headed by partner Winston Alburquenque and environmental impact assessment headed by partner José Luis Fuenzalida. Specifically, I oversaw the environmental impact assessment of mining and energy projects, and judicial procedures related to the constitution and operation of mining and water permits. I also wrote multiple reports and memorandums on legal controversies in English.
