Healthcare and its future encompass many of the problems with society today, and I am here to fix that. I am currently a student at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs working on my degree in Healthcare Management and Policy.Working as an Ocean Lifeguard was an unforgettable experience for me. Not only did it teach me how to communicate with people from all walks of life, but it also showed me the importance of teamwork and responsibility. Dealing with beach patrons on a day-to-day basis taught me that you have to communicate differently in different situations in order to avoid conflict or escalation of a situation. On busy days, communication and coordination were crucial towards keeping order on the beach.In the future, I hope to work a job that gives me daily opportunities to better myself and the people around me. Throughout my soccer career, I have always been the captain of my team, working as one big unit in order to reach a common goal. In my professional career, I hope to continue in this environment of growth, motivation, and excellence.
