I worked 10 hours a week for 1.5 years for Hotelschool The Hague as a Student Assistant, working with marketing, alumni relations and placement office. During this time, I learnt the importance of networking, relationship management, eye for detail and also use of technical applications.

Whilst abroad, I was given the opportunity to test my leadership skills and join a company called GC that host events to the general public every 10 weeks. Part of GC’s core value is that it is run by the younger generation for them to learn. Its mission is to bring the universities in The Hague together to create a community.

As part of the Hotelschool programme I spent 7 months in Malta on a internship, learning the logistics and background of the InterContinental Hotel at an operational level. The internship taught me the importance of eye for detail and relationship management. Performing as a Supervisor in these outlets: reservations, front office, F&B, VIP Club Lounge.
