Boskalis Beach Cleanup Tour; with over 2000 volunteers we cleanup the entire Dutch North Sea coast in the first two weeks of August, creating public awareness, cleanup and work on public affairs2. Measure debris for a clean North Sea: thousands of volunteers measure beach waste biyearly, generating data to support policymaking to reduce the amount of waste in the North Sea and our beaches.Core tasks:• Development and implementing strategically future-proof projects and programs• Acquisition & fundraising, approximately €400,000 annually• Stakeholder engagement and activation with public, businesses and policymakers• Awareness by amongst other annually media value of around 1 million euros• Engaging in sustainable partnerships for our mission• Lead, coach and guide teamThe North Sea Foundation / Stichting de Noordzee is an environmental non-governmental organisation (NGO) advocating the protection and sustainable use of the North Sea marine ecosystem. Together with the General Manager I developed short-, mid- and long term strategies on several aspects and assured implementation.This resulted in improved safety of both visitors and chimpanzees, increased income (up to 100% monthly), increased visitor numbers, establishment of relations with (local) entrepreneurs and 30.000 extra facebook followers.

    As primate ecology researcher I researched and monitored a group of 30 yellow baboons and 25 vervet monkeys which we released in National Park Kasungu, Malawi, as part of the release program by the Lilongwe Wildlife Trust. Research consists of habitat assessment, habitat use by the baboons and vervet monkeys and general behavioural studies.
