About Sebastien Callens
I am Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Biomechanics at Eindhoven University of Technogy, working on tissue engineering innovations for regenerative medicine. I was previously a postdoc in cell-material interactions in the group of Prof. Dame Molly Stevens at the University of Oxford and Imperial College London). I am passionate about multidisciplinary research at the interface of biology and engineering, by leveraging computational design and analysis, advanced techniques for materials development, microfabrication, quantitative imaging and engineered cell environments. My research interests include microtissue engineering, (meta-)biomaterials, biofabrication, and biomechanics.
