My responsibilities as contract assistant Electrical Engineer at (KSEB) 110 kV substation included the operation and maintenance of various electrical equipments including power transformers (110/11 kV, 16 MVA & 110/33 kV, 10 MVA-2 nos ONAF outdoor), VCB’s, SF6-CB, CT etc.

I was actively involved in the preliminary testing which included-cross current test, tap ratio test, tan delta test etc. Parts identification and checking-OTI, WTI, Oil Surge relay, Bucholz relay, Pressure Releasing Device (PRD); inspecting the winding specifications-HV, LV, TV & tap; checking and approving core assembly (5 limbed & 3 limbed CRGO); checking and approving bushings-HV, LV, TV.
