I am currently lead the Software team at Createc that work across a number of projects that bridge the gap between academic research and industry by taking OTS components combining them in novel ways, to solve real world problems. These projects span several sectors, including military, nuclear and heavy industry. Our primary aim is to make complex system, such as robotic system, easier to use and to visualise sensor data in more intuitive ways.The latest project revolves around doing material identification and radiation mapping of scrap material during nuclear decommissioning activities for the purpose of waste reduction.

Protek Design in a small company which I established to encompass work and projects I carry out outside of my core employment. I am currently working on a number of projects which allows me to use and improve my skills in mechanical, electrical and software design. These project are focused around consumer electronics.
