-Manage the ongoing development of a new subprovincial estimates system--Established a long-term plan for the complete redevelopment of methodologies, processes and tools used to produce and disseminate subprovincial estimates.--Leading the research and development of methods to obtain smaller-scale information from current data sources to align the new system with Statistics Canada data disaggregation plan.--Write complete business requirements and specifications for all parts of the new subprovincial estimates system for IT development.--Work with IT to implement specifications and supervise testing of the new system. -Develop and maintain an improved system of data certification for subprovincial estimates--Manage data certification process for subprovincial estimates including timelines, data review and preparation for component experts.--Developed a new system in R using inputs from internal stakeholders which saves up to two weeks during the certification process and reduces potential errors. -Oversee the dissemination of subprovicial estimates data, analytical texts, visualisation products and answering to media and client requests--Produce analytical and Daily texts on provincial and subprovincial estimates from drafts to Chief Statistician review. --Act as main contact for media requests and interviews on subprovincial estimates, and answer any questions from internal and external clients.-Carry out a continuous review of administrative data and techniques available to enhance processes of data evaluation and demographic estimates--Reviewed currently available alternative data sets to identify ones with demographic potential. This led to a project aimed at improving accuracy of estimates for on-reserve populations.--Research and develop new dissemination tools and visualisations to enhance and modernize storytelling from demographic data.

BC Stats - Ministry of Jobs, Trade and Technology-Supervised production and delivery of BC Stats demography products in a cost-recovery environment.-Managed the Demographic and Population Statistics team staff and resources.-Developed an annual work schedule to ensure optimal work distribution and help identify priority work over the year.-Identified and discontinued products and web publications which clients showed limited interest in to save time when faced with a reduced team.-Lead the negotiation and renewal of contracts and Memorandum of Understanding valued at over $200,000 annually.-Identified the main systems components necessary to replace BC Stats current decades-old population projections system and obtained additional resources to begin development.-Developed new R Shiny web applications to distribute Population section data products online. -Designed and began development of a new suite of database tools ahead of population systems being redeveloped all while following best practices in R code and function documentation.-Redesigned the BC Stats population web pages to enhance visibility of products in high demand.-Participated in the OCWA project as an Output Checker to ensure data reported and published by the BC Government met the secrecy obligation of the BC Statistics Act.-Supported the BC Premier’s Office and Natural Resource Sector Deputy Ministers in building sector-specific economic profiles (GDP, employment, value of exports, etc.).-Served as the main contact for the Statistics Canada Designated Place Program for British Columbia ahead of the 2021 census.-Supported the establishment and operations of a secure Research Data Centre room in the BC Stats building, becoming a Statistics Canada “deemed employee” in the process.

BC Stats - Ministry of Jobs, Trade and Technology-Supported the timely release of population estimate and projection products.-Developed inputs for the BC Stats cohort-component population projection model. This included fertility, mortality and mobility components, as well as the development of a 2016 base population, corrected for census undercoverage.-Rebuilt the births and deaths processing system in R to replace an outdated APL system. Reprocessed historical data from the BC Vital Statistics Agency.-Compiled and reviewed population data to meet stakeholders and distribution requirements. Published population products to the BC Stats website. -Developed custom population projections methodologies for the Capital Regional District and the Indigenous population of BC. Obtained and processed relevant Statistics Canada datasets for each project.-Wrote and published quarterly BC population highlights reports.-Updated the methodology used for the BC quarterly eligible voters report and produced quarterly reports. -Produced quarterly updates and expanded geographies available in the Geocoding Self-Service application used to match postal code data to administrative boundaries. -Designed and created maps using GIS software for publication on the BC Stats website and to meet internal and external stakeholders’ requirements.

Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training-Supported Ministry internal and external stakeholders in policy and program development by providing timely and accurate data and reports.-Worked with stakeholders to improve data awareness and enhance Ad Hoc and annual reporting.-Compiled, reviewed and distributed Performance Measure results for the annual BC Public Post-Secondary Accountability Framework.-Produced a white paper on student retention and persistence measures across Canada and OECD countries, leading to the creation of a working group on student persistence. Used SQL to create a system-wide student persistence model for BC Advanced Education system as a template for a new performance measure.-Developed a methodology for reporting student retention at various levels of granularity, such as Aboriginal identity, that does not penalize BC transfer institutions.-Used Tableau GIS functionalities to help stakeholders visualize and present data relevant to their policy and program development.

-Use Salesforce CRM software to manage a database including supporters from over 20 BC environmental groups.-Clean and enhance supporters information from multiple groups by deduplicating, appending and merging data.-Organize, design and manage Call Centre Campaigns for up to 300 000 non-partisan Get Out The Vote callsplanned for the 2017 BC provincial elections.

Taught and marked four undergraduate Astronomy labs. Experiments cover a wide variety of subjects such as the scale of the Universe, the Sun, exoplanets, orbital dynamics, the Moon, etc.

Taught and marked two undergraduate Physics labs. Experimental Physics labs for physics undergraduates covering subjects such as fiber optics, Michelson interferometer, spectroscopy and polarization.

Designed a spectra simulator for a new type of astronomical instrument. Invited by the Science Director of the Canada-France-Hawaii telescope to spend a month at their research centre to better understand what the community wanted from the simulator.

In charge of upgrading the small telescope used by Université Laval to teach labs. Evaluated the capabilities of the instrument, defined the requirements and costs, successfully procured, installed and tested the new equipment.
