Focusing on programmable data planes and high-speed Network Function Virtualizations.In particular, I hace explored the possibility to use XDP (eXpress Data Path) and eBPF (extended Berkley Packet Filter) as foundation technologies to build a new model of flexible and efficient VNFs and how to exploit them on new container-based cloud environments (e.g., k8s).

During my stay in BISDN, I got to work on a new product that could be used as a new generation of CPE. This device (HK-0910) is provided with the T1040 Freescale chip based on the QorIQ architecture. This allows the flexibility that a software switch provides but performing the switching in hardware so as not to degrade the performance, opening the opportunity for active traffic management and network trouble shooting. In particular, I have participated in the creation of a series of mobile applications created using a new framework called Titanium that allows the creation of mobile applications based on a common code written in Javascript.
