Provide essential cyber security solutions to the 31 owner companies which are small to medium sized telecommunication companies located throughout Wisconsin. Work closely with business leaders and recommend cyber security solutions to improve the security posture of their company. Recommend, implement and manage these solutions. This role has a large emphasis on “blue team” defensive security solutions, vulnerability and risk assessments, security monitoring and incident response efforts.• Recommend cyber security solutions to reduce cyber risk• Implement security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, IPS/IDS, IAM, app whitelisting, endpoint security, or user awareness programs etc.• Assist in security event/incident investigations on detected alerts• Provide guidance on prioritizing and reducing cyber risk• Help cultivate an information security aware and conscious culture• Provide excellent customer service to all clients• Create and maintain documentation for all supported applications • Follow change management procedures.• Participate in an on-call rotation to support customers and systems• Perform any additional job-related duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill WIN's mission, and provide WIN's owner companies with industry leading customer service

Responsible for monitoring, assessing, and remediating cybersecurity events in order to secure and protect proprietary, personal, and privileged electronic data. Utilize cybersecurity tools used to scan and detect attacks and vulnerabilities in this company's network. Monitor computing resources daily for evidence of compromise and report security incidents. Analyze/assess vulnerabilities in the infrastructure (software, hardware, networks), help implement countermeasures to remedy the detected vulnerabilities, and work with the Cyber Security team to recommend vulnerability management solutions and best practices. Other responsibilities include:- Use the company's Endpoint Protection tool and other internal tools to implement new security policies and policy exceptions.- Monitor individual workstations and laptop activity to identify any attacker or event that violates current policy. Document all activity violating policy, assign criticality and escalate to the end user based on the severity of the occurrence.- Identify new vulnerabilities in the company's environment using internal assessments defined by the company's policy. Deliver incident reports documenting the new vulnerabilities weekly to the appropriate avenues based on severity.- Monitor the company's enterprise network for malicious activity through the Endpoint Protection tool. Utilize daily automatic reports to send to the appropriate management team.- Update the company's employees’ outdated antivirus versions, and monitor the aging of antivirus definitions on the company's network endpoints.- Document and investigate Security incidents as defined by the company's policy. Escalate incident reports to senior IS staff and update IT management in order to maintain compliance with security related regulatory requirements.

• Participate in the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT). Help SIRT to employ strategy, standards, processes and technology to detect, respond and recover from security incidents and to limit the impact of any such occurrence or reoccurrence by using risk-based triage. • Serve as a security resource in network or application design, operating systems, endpoint protection, mobile devices, and foundational InfoSec technical controls. Maintain and roadmap InfoSec hosted systems (e.g. SIEM, DLIP) and drive continuous improvement. • Participate in the Global InfoSec Risk Management Program including Global Threat & Vulnerability Management, Global Insider Threat Management, Data Governance, Cloud Security, Supplier Risk Management, Global Security Policies, and InfoSec Governance & Compliance. • Work with other functional area analysts and project teams ensuring InfoSec policies/standards are part of designs to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, while meeting business objectives and regulatory requirements. Develop process improvements and manage Key Performance Indicators. • Ensure that business and technical requirements are aligned to policy and are implemented within regulatory and contractual compliance. Advocate for cyber risk mitigation during planning sessions and implementation of new services. • Maintain awareness of all aspects of information security and compliance, including PCI, SOX, and HIPAA requirements for information systems and industry best practices; such as, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST 800-171, etc. • Contribute to forensic investigations/analysis, including collaboration with governmental agencies, as needed.
