I am a seasoned leader in security, privacy, spam and abuse with a deep technical background. I recognized early-on that developing meaningful defenses in these areas takes significant time and resources, whereas business needs evolve quickly, particularly in fast-growing companies. As such, I made it one of my goals to anticipate needs and prepare for them intelligently. I see tremendous potential for harmony, where strong teams in security, privacy, and spam and abuse make the company stronger and more capable, instead of holding it back and slowing it down.I have twenty one years of work experience, sixteen of which are in the security and privacy space, including seven in increasing management roles. In my last role as Chief Security Officer at Snap, I managed an organization of 100 full-timers, mostly engineers. I am comfortable building scalable security and privacy programs from the grounds-up, as well as developing meaningful long-term goals, and presenting them to executives and to the board.
