About Secure User

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Anna started singing at the age of four at the Greater Zion Silo Baptist Church where she captivated her congregation with her rich and soulful voice. In middle school, Anna begin to perform at the annual IS 53 Talent Show and continued to perform with Far Rockaway High School's school choir. She also participated in various musicals, including Upbeat, where she sang and acted in a lead role. Outside of school, With singing and performing at the forefront of her teen years, Anna continued to polish her singing and performing skills by collaborating with rappers and producers, including Donnie Mossberg , Rayvon (Shaggy,Angel), and Jnay Sewell-Ulepic (Empire State of Mind).When Anna was 15, she auditioned for a part in the award-winning independent film, Our Song (2000), competing against over one hundred other teens. Three call-backs later, Anna won the heart of the director, Jim McKay, and landed one of the lead roles, acting along side Kerry Washington. Following the success of her heart-warming performance, Anna continued to audition and was cast in several other movies, including Everyday People (HBO, 2004) Sherry Baby (IFC, 2006), Angel Rodriguez (HBO, 2005) and Liberty kid (HBO, 2007). She was also cast in a guest role on an episode of Law and Order, entitled Flipped (TV, 2007).During this period, Anna also became a single parent and had to learn quickly how to juggle the responsibilities of parenthood with her artistic goals. To do so, Anna completed her education, going on to receive an Associate's Degree from TCI College, with a focus on Automotive Technology in 2011. She continues to audition and perform at various events, including a NJ Nets basketball game, singing the National Anthem, and Lehman College and at several charity events, including Millbank Children's Aide Society and The Bronx Women's Shelter. Anna has also participated in several Showcases held at some of New York's well-known night clubs.
