Supported the iOS/Android mobile platform teams - helping everyone at Uber develop mobile applications faster, at scale, while shipping a world-class product.This included managing teams focused on scaling/architecture, libraries/open source, performance, testing, static analysis, and reliability. * First Seattle Engineer on new R&D project.* Created a system from scratch for catching digital fraud, integrated the solution with existing pipelines, reduced fraud by 98% and provided variables/data capable of maintaining a false positive rate better than found in the 10 year old retail fraud process. Involved launching a high-volume, REST HTTP service (Java, C++, Perl), integrating with machine learning algorithms, and creating new data loading solutions.* Created a subscriptions fraud system from scratch, which virtually eliminated types of subscription fraud* Changed the way Amazon’s fraud systems interact with the ordering pipeline by implementing a service integration layer. Graduate Research position at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) Implemented two different group key management schemes, as well non-standard cryptographic operations required for their operation

Grader for cs438 at UIUC, an undergraduate/graduate networking course.

This included writing code for embedded systems, such as an assembly line plate stamper, which interfaced via serial port with the production database to receive job requests.Additionally, I did some work with the company transition to Linux from VMS, and received Six Sigma training.
